Posh pens and crazy candlesticks for terrific Thames experiences

Mike Mason, one of our parishioners, has been a volunteer for the River Thames Boat Project (RTBP) for the past five years, helping to take senior citizens, wheelchair-bound folk and countless school children on the Thames Venturer, an old Dutch barge, along the river. She is an old boat which has been cruising our stretch of the mighty Thames for over 25 years and will be replaced by a new boat this year. Mike has been turning wood for just over a year, making pens, candlesticks, bowls and other wooden items. He will be selling some of these, with proceeds donated towards the cost of the new boat, after church on Sunday 12th February.
