Children & Families

Normally, our mission to families in the parish includes provision for children via Junior Church on Sunday mornings and Little Angels on Thursday mornings in the Church Hall.

Little Angels, in normal times, is a toddlers playgroup and ‘rendez-vous’ for their carers held on Thursday mornings between 10.00 and 11.30 in the Hall. Sadly Little Angels sessions have been suspended for the duration of the Covid-19 provisions.

However, we also currently offer:

  • Zoom sessions for KS2 children (Fridays at 11), with chat, games & a reflection on the week’s Bible teaching.
  • A Zoom coffee hour for parents to talk through how things are going.
  • Ongoing pastoral support for anyone who needs support.

Please contact the Junior Church leader via juniorchurch.stannes@gmail.com and find out more about our work with children and families.

The King’s C of E Primary School

Among our strong local associations, St Anne’s has a close and enduring connection with the King’s C of E Primary School. The Christian faith is central to life at King’s. Father Giles Fraser, from St Anne’s, and Rev Melanie Harrington, from St Luke’s and St Philip’s [The Barn Church] regularly visit the school to lead worship in assemblies. St Anne’s provides services, in particular the carol service at Christmas, as well as spiritual leadership to pupils leading up to confirmation.

The PCC and churchwardens of St Anne’s Church take the matter of safeguarding in the parish extremely seriously
