About Junior Church

We provide a friendly and secure environment where children can meet and develop a lasting Christian spirituality. We teach children the love of our Lord Jesus Christ through fun and thought-provoking, structured lessons.

Junior Church takes place during the 10:00 a.m. service on Sundays. The children are called up to attend shortly after the service starts. Junior Church is held in the church hall, which can be accessed via the door to the left of the altar.

Through their worship, children learn about the Bible and Christian life, participating in stories, art, play, music and prayer. The activities and themes reflect the church calender and prepare the older children for full participation in church worship

Our current Junior Church leaders are both qualified teachers with their own small children who attend Junior Church. Sessions are taught with the support of a rota of parent volunteers.

Our sessions are aimed to accommodate children from around two years of age upwards. Parents are welcome to stay for the duration or, if their children feel comfortable, parents can remain in the service.

New members of Junior Church are always welcome! To register your child, please sign in using the clipboard at the back of the church. New parent volunteers are also welcome.

Children aged 7 and over with a musical disposition may be considered for Junior Choir as vacancies arise.

Junior Church Leader Opportunities

Our team is made up of volunteers from the congregation – who are usually Junior Church parents. Training is given and the leaders are organised on a rota basis, teaching approximately every 6 weeks. This a fun and rewarding part of church life and allows people to give something back to the church. Please Contact us if you would like to voluteer as a leader.
