A weekend inspired by the life and faith of the Reverend Conrad Noel (1869- 1942), who was born on 12 July 1869 in Royal Cottage, Kew Green

    • 19.30 Friday, 12th July 2019 – Public Lecture – The Challenge of Affluence: lessons for a parish from the life of Conrad Noel. Dr Rowan Williams, Master, Magdalene College, Cambridge.
      • This will be preceded by a Bring and Share picnic from 18.00 -19.15, outside St Anne’s Church on Kew Green. (Chairs and tables provided)

Exhibition. There will be a small exhibition of Conrad Noel’s artifacts at the back of the Church from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th

    • 18.40 The world in which Conrad Noel grew upBritain and its Empire during the late nineteenth-century – Howard Bailes.
    • 19.00 Conrad Noel, Social justice and Christian faith – Claudine McCreadie and Christopher Stephens.
    • 19.20 Holst and Thaxted: This presentation will include a short excerpt from Tony Palmer’s outstanding documentary on Holst, In the Bleak Midwinter.
