Sunday Afternoon Concert Series: Summer 2021

Download Brochure (opens in new window)

It is with pleasure and optimism that we announce our Sunday Afternoon Recital Series for Summer 2021 at Saint Anne's church, which begins with a concert on Sunday 23 May 2021 with Chad Kelly and members of Eloquenza, celebrating the place of music in the ministry of Father Nigel Worn.

More details linked here and the series brochure can be downloaded from the red button above.

We remain grateful to concert-goers for contributions to the retiring collections which go towards sustaining and developing the rich musical life of the community. This year, we would ask that contributions are made with this link or through the church’s website or through the parish office, with an indication that the donation is in favour of the music fund.

The Churchwardens and PCC have agreed to approach relaxation of Covid measures with a series of carefully monitored 4 - 6 week stages. Stage 1 will begin from Sunday August 1st. Key changes for worshippers to note: booking will no longer be required. Seating management will cease. Please sit in alternate pews (yellow dot for 8.00am, red dot for 10.00am) and respect safe distancing. The congregation will be invited to sing selected verses from the final hymn without face masks. Other Covid measures continue at this stage. Wearing face masks, hand sanitisation and safe distancing continue.

Sidesmen will be fully briefed to assist as we settle into these amended measures. Please follow their directions. Feedback is encouraged and we will adjust where necessary.

Our Choir returns from 25th July. A warm welcome back!

Our choir returns tol help us mark our Patronal Festival. They will be singing safely and we welcome hearing their voices again as an important part of our worship.

Congregational singing – a first step. The congregation is invited to join the choir in singing selected verses of the final hymn. Masks can be removed whilst singing. Check the Service Booklet to see which verses to join in the signing.

10.00am Coffees are back from 1st August - Do join us after the Service and enjoy our shared fellowship. Coffee will be served in the churchyard. Please wear face masks when in the Hall. This is a lovely and hopeful way to mark our Patronal Festival together.
